In India, schools are now taught through different types of boards. It has two important boards which educate the education sector. One of these is CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) and ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education). Full English medium is taught in both these boards. So apart from these two boards, many states also have their own boards. However, parents are under tremendous stress to get their children to school. Kids want to get into English media but they don’t know exactly which board to get on. There is confusion about which board of education is the best. But don’t worry now. CBSE Board Information 2023
CBSE or the Central Board of Secondary Education (Central Board of Secondary Education) is the board in charge of promoting education for public and private schools under the jurisdiction of the Government of India. Meanwhile, CBSE affiliated schools include all Central Faculties, Jawahar Navodaya Faculties and private schools as well. Now, the CBSE class 10th and 12th final exams are conducted every year in March. The main objective of the CBSE board is to develop the personality and intelligence of the child. CBSE board also takes the responsibility of the overall development of the children.
ICSE Board Information 2023
Established in 1958, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), the national board of private education in India, usually takes the responsibility of conducting class 10th and 12th examinations. The main goal of the conference was to provide good quality education to the children of India.
The gap between the ceiling of two boards
In CBSE schools, students are more inclined towards science and maths. The Board seeks to strike a balance between science, arts and humanity. Meanwhile, the focus of ICSE is more on languages, arts and science. CBSE students are more inclined to go the traditional way as they prepare to face competitive exams like engineering, medical or bank etc.
In CBSE board, ten students study science subjects including Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Science subdivision starts from 11th standard. In ICSE, before 10th, the study of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology starts differently.

As per the ICSE exam pattern, 2.5 hours are given to solve the ICSE Class 10 Maths question paper. Mathematics paper consists of Part A-short compulsory questions with 40 marks. So Part B will have 7 questions, if you attempt 4 of them you can score 40 marks. Whereas for Science subjects, Physics, Chemistry and Biology each paper is of 2 hours.
As per the CBSE Class 10 exam pattern, each paper carries 100 marks; Out of these, 80 marks are for theory paper and 20 marks are for internal assessment, practical and project work. Mathematics, Science, Social Science, English and Hindi each subject paper is of 3 hours.
